When a friend told me about Sleeps-On-Bridges I had been absent from ESO, and all other MMOs, for a few years. I watched other players sleep beside Sleeps-On-Bridges. His name is Sleeps-On-Bridges, and he logs on every night to do exactly that. One particular player, a splotchy black and white Argonian, does the most useless thing a person could be doing at the heart of a lively MMO hub. Others pause for a moment to rummage through their inventory bags. Some thunder over riding horses or bears. Its a dumb rule because every other MMO in the world (Warcraft, LOTRO, Maplestory, Guild Wars 2, ect) let you name your character anything (including characters from other series or popular culture) as long as it isn’t inappropriate.On a busy bridge in Alinor, sandwiched between the fast-travel wayshrine and the crowded crafting stations, hundreds of Elder Scrolls Online players will cross from one part of the busy city to another. So essentially trolls will report people who have names of fictional characters and get them forced rename to ruin their day. I sent a ticket to ZOS about it and they said they don’t enforce the rule and are cool with it, but if a character gets reported they will be forced to rename. Its a rule that isn’t regulated by ZOS staff members and they are chill about it. “No name that contains or refers to copyrighted characters.” “No name that contains or refers to popular characters/names.” I have hidden the character names because of a dumb pseudo rule ZOS created.
